Official Rules

Crack the PIN

No purchase or payment of any kind is needed to enter or win. Paying will not improve your chances. Void where prohibited.

1. Who runs it

Crack the PIN is run by Elbe Habib, the independent creator behind Eleh Poraleh (the "Organizer"). It is not sponsored, paid for or endorsed by any company or brand.

2. Who can play

Open worldwide to anyone who is at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where they live if that is higher. Not open where the contest is prohibited or restricted by local law, or to residents of countries and regions under US sanctions (including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine), since the Organizer is in the United States. To win, you must follow @elehporaleh on Instagram at the time of the winning guess and when the prize is verified. The Organizer's immediate family members can't win.

3. When it runs

The contest starts the moment the Crack the PIN post is published on @elehporaleh and has no fixed end date: it stays open until the correct PIN is entered. The Organizer may end the contest early by announcing it on @elehporaleh at least 48 hours in advance; if nobody has guessed the PIN by then, the contest ends with no winner and the prize is not awarded. The Organizer's server clock is the official timekeeper.

4. How to play

  1. Follow @elehporaleh on Instagram.
  2. Comment a 6-digit PIN on a Crack the PIN contest post on @elehporaleh. Each comment that contains one 6-digit number counts as one guess.
  3. Your guess is checked automatically, usually within seconds. A wrong guess gets a reply and is crossed off the public board at elehporaleh.com/unlock.
  4. Guess again as often as you like. There's no limit on total tries, but the Organizer may cap tries per account per hour to stop spam.

Every PIN can only be guessed once across all players. Before commenting, you can check whether a PIN was already tried at elehporaleh.com/unlock. A PIN that was already tried doesn't count as a guess. Bots, scripts, fake or multiple accounts, and comments that break Instagram's rules are disqualified. Instagram may hide some comments from apps (for example from new or flagged accounts); the Organizer isn't responsible for guesses Instagram doesn't deliver.

5. Winning

The first eligible player to enter the correct PIN, as recorded by the Organizer's server, is the winner. The winner must reply to the Organizer's Instagram message within 72 hours to confirm eligibility (age, residency, and following @elehporaleh). If the winner isn't eligible or doesn't reply in time, the prize is forfeited and the contest may continue. The winner's Instagram handle and the winning PIN are announced publicly on @elehporaleh.

6. Prize

One (1) Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max, 256 GB, the phone shown in the Crack the PIN posts. Approximate retail value: US $1,199 (Apple's launch price for this model). No cash alternative. The Organizer pays standard shipping to the winner's country; the winner is responsible for any taxes, import duties or customs fees there. If the prize can't legally be shipped to the winner, the Organizer may offer an equivalent prize of similar value. Odds depend on how many guesses are made; there are 1,000,000 possible PINs.

Hints

From time to time the Organizer may post hints about the PIN publicly on @elehporaleh (for example in a post, story or live). Hints are free and available to everyone at the same time. The Organizer decides whether, when and what to hint, and hints never reveal the full PIN.

7. The fine print

The Organizer may cancel, pause or change the contest if cheating, technical problems or anything else affects its fairness, and may disqualify anyone who tampers with it. The Organizer isn't responsible for comments Instagram hides or delays, or for network or device problems. By playing you agree to these rules and to the Organizer's decisions, which are final. The winner agrees to their Instagram handle being announced.

8. Instagram

This contest is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. Players release Instagram and Meta from all liability related to it.

9. Privacy

Contest data is handled as described in the privacy policy.
